LE LABOUREUR S.A.S
Digoin, France
Manufacture De Vêtements De Travail Et D'autrefois
In the early 1950s, Primo Zelanti, founder, began selling agricultural clothing at fairs and markets in the French region of Burgundy.
This small business grew rapidly and prompted Primo Zelanti to create, in 1956, its own brand: "Le Laboureur". He attaches strong values to producing, in the heart of France, traditional clothing with high quality materials and fabrics. Slowly, the collection, originally limited to clothing for the work of the earth, extends to work clothes for the building trades, with always one orientation: to make traditional useful clothes.
As the manufacturing workshop continues to expand, the company must leave Digoin town center and move to the Rue des Chantiers in 1973, in larger and more functional premises.
In 1988, Jean-Charles Zélanti succeeded his father as CEO. Today, the family-owned business, with around 30 employees, continues to produce, in Digoin, quality clothing, fashioned in the old fashioned way. -
